INTRODUCTION:-

With the vision “To promote, enhance and assure the quality of higher education across HEIs in Pakistan” Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) was established in 2005 by the Government of Pakistan through Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Higher Education Commission has developed the minimum criteria of graduate level programs and circulated the same amongst all the Universities/Degree Awarding Institutions for compliance. To assess the implementation status of these criteria, the Higher Education Commission has constituted M.Phil/MS & Ph.D Program Review Committees to review the programs offered at the Universities/Degree Awarding Institutions at a regular cycle of three years.

Government College University, Faisalabad is a public sector University charted by the Government of the Punjab in the year 2002. As per the HEC mechanism for quality assurance, the Government College University, Faisalabad has been reviewed for two times

• First Review of GCUF was conducted on 29-31 October 2018 by Higher Education Commission.
• Second Self Review was conducted on 23-25 February 2021.

FIRST REVIEW OF GCUF M.PHIL/MS & PH.D PROGRAMS BY HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION 2018-2019

The review panel was comprised of seven members, nominated by the Quality Assurance Agency, detailed as under:-

• The review panel Halted 7 Programs ( 4 of M.Phil & 3 of Ph.D)
• All remaining Programs were ok.

SECOND SELF REVIEW OF GCUF M.PHIL/MS & PH.D PROGRAMS, BY SELF 2019-2020
